Pulse Partner Charities 2023

The five charities that we have chosen this year reflect our interest in and support for literacy in the UK and Iraq, homelessness in our local area, empowering disadvantaged women and the environment. We support them in different ways – from volunteering, donations to pro bono work.


 

The Connection at St Martin’s

The Connection provides a safe space and essential support services to those sleeping rough in our local area.

Luminary provides training, support and community to disadvantaged women so that they can create a life for themselves.

Meshwar Foundation

Meshwar Foundation

We have partnered with Meshwar, an Iraqi charity and their new initiative Better Education to renovate a primary school near Basra, Iraq.


The Children’s Literacy Charity

CLC works towards closing the gap for disadvantaged children, enabling them to achieve their full potential.

Environmental Charities

Each year we ask our staff to nominate an environmental charity or organisation that is important to them and Pulse donates £100 on their behalf.

Children particularly have come out of our Covid lockdown holding a lot of trauma and vunerability. Without taking the steps to power them up properly we risk letting them down and missing out on potential they have to build the future.

Access Sport

Too many young people are unable to access the transformational benefits of community sport. Everybody should have the opportunity to access something that has helped me personally throughout my life, both mentally and physically.
DONS Local Action Group

Every weekend I see the Dons Local Action volunteers tirelessly collecting food and recruiting volunteers at the supermarket. They provide food parcels, household goods, furniture and appliances aswell as laptops for children who do not have access to online learning.
Youths & Environmental Advocacy Centre UK

By providing renewable, reliable, and affordable electricity to hard-to-reach communities, this initiative also aims to reduce the illegal oil refining activities adversely impacting communities in the Niger Delta region.
