We are very aware of the surroundings in which we live and work and make sure we can support some of the most vulnerable areas of our community.

That includes supporting a homeless charity in central London with our time and sponsorship; and funding individual annual donations from staff members to a range of environmental and social charities.

This ethos also extends to bringing about action in arguably the most pressing issue of our time - climate change and rising inequity.

Our belief is that the shift we need in the world to fully and fairly address this issue has to happen at a system level, beyond the capability of individual organisations acting alone. We believe business and our clients need to learn new ways to help convene change.

With this in mind, in 2021 Pulse helped found MovingBeyond: a not-for-profit initiative to catalyse change through a more collaborative approach to accelerating the transition and help leaders find new skills, insights and relations to help drive change externally and in their own organisations.

The first 3-day event took place at Findhorn, Scotland, just prior to the COP26 conference in Glasgow.  We brought together business, investors, civic society and policy makers to consider how best to accelerate the energy transition in the UK (Net Zero by 2035) and build a more sustainable world.

Building a community where all voices and perspectives are valid and respected is key to the sustained levels of collaboration needed to move beyond the siloed approach we currently see.

MovingBeyond creates a space where participants can show up and contribute in ways that are not always possible when operating in their own organisation. We help demonstrate how 'activism' can take place across all organisations.

In 2022 MovingBeyond went to south Wales, in 2023 to Teesside and this October it will take place in Newham, London.
